Hey everyone, The Centre for Creative Economies at Coventry University is delighted to announce that as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science, we're hosting on Nov 4th at FarGo Village Coventry, a day of 3D scanning cultural objects and a discussion on the future of 3D digital for artists and collections. All are welcome.
Come and see demonstrations of photogrammetry and metrology by GENUS, SOLIDPRINT3D, TWINDL and the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering at Coventry University.
We also have a presentation from Thomas Flynn (https://nebulousflynn.substack.com/) and a plenary with Tom, Linda Spurdle and Prof. Annebella Pollen on the future of 3D digital art.
Items to be digitised come from Coventry University Archives, including artworks, puppets and a Lanchester car. We'll also be scanning items from the natural history collection at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
