Parent–Child 3D Printing Workshop (Ages 12+)

Discover the exciting world of 3D printing together. This hands-on Parent–Child workshop introduces families to the fundamentals of 3D printing in a fun, collaborative environment. No prior experience is required - just curiosity and creativity.

Over two sessions, participants will learn how ideas become physical objects, explore how 3D printers work, and create a custom design to print and take home.

• Parents/guardians and children ages 12+
• Families interested in STEM and creative technology
• Beginners with no prior 3D printing experience

What You’ll Learn

• What 3D printing is and how it’s used
• Anatomy of an FDM 3D printer & common materials
• From idea to print: the full 3D printing process
• Finding and creating 3D models
• Slicing and software basics
• Printer setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Print a 3D design to take home

Format

• 6 hours total, split into two sessions
• Hands-on, guided instruction
• All materials included
