3D Modeling Fundamentals for Entrepreneurs & Makers
About this Event
Have an idea for a product but not sure how to turn it into a 3D model?
Whether you're exploring a new business idea, developing a product, or looking for new ways to grow your existing business, understanding the fundamentals of 3D modeling can help you take an idea from concept toward something you can actually create.
This introductory workshop will break down the core concepts behind 3D modeling and help you understand how digital objects are built. Rather than focusing exclusively on one software program, the class will introduce concepts that can be applied across different 3D modeling tools.
What You'll Learn
- Participants will explore:
- The basics of 3D geometry, including points, lines, planes, and reference axes
- The difference between raster and vector-based approaches
- Fundamental 3D modeling concepts
- An introduction to Fusion and Blender
- Sketches, features, and feature-based modeling
- Solid bodies, surface bodies, and sheet metal
- Feature order and assembly conventions
- Vertices, edges, and faces
- Object and Edit Modes in Blender
- Basic ways to select and manipulate geometry
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, makers, product developers, and anyone interested in learning how 3D modeling and 3D printing could support a new idea or existing business.
No matter where you are in your entrepreneurial journey, this class will give you a foundation for understanding how ideas can begin taking shape in the digital world.
This is Class 1 of our three-part 3D Printing Series.
This class is part of a three-part series designed for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and makers. Take one class or join us for all three and save over 25% with the $100 Series Pass!
