***This class project is considered INTERMEDIATE level. It is strongly recommended (but not required) that you have taken at least one of our regular two-dimensional project classes, or have some previous stained glass experience, as this class combines both 2D and 3D elements with advanced techniques that may prove difficult to beginners.
In this 3-3.5 hour intermediate level stained glass class, you'll focus on the exciting and hands-on process of copper foiling and soldering to bring your beautiful glass design to life! All the glass pieces are precut and ready to go, so you can jump right into the creative process without needing to worry about cutting.
Guided by our experienced instructor, you'll learn how to apply copper foil to the edges of each glass piece, tin them in solder, then solder them together to create both a lily pad base and a beautiful 3D lotus flower blooming on top! This class is perfect for those who have some experience with stained glass and want to hone their skills in foiling, soldering and using advanced techniques to create a multidimensional stained glass art piece.
Choose from a selection of gorgeous glass combinations to create your own unique piece. By the end of the class, you’ll have a stunning stained glass project ready to display, with all the techniques you need to continue creating on your own.
