3D Design & Printing for Teens: Applications Open!

This program is application-based; there are 6 spots. Teens should complete the registration form, including a few short questions about their interests by MARCH 24, 11:59 PM. The class dates are: Tuesdays, April 7-May 12, 4:00-6:00 PM, at Make-It Springfield.

Interested in learning how 3D printers work and designing your own creations? Apply to join our 6-week 3D Design & Printing Lab! Teens will learn the basics of digital design and turn their ideas into real objects. During this hands-on program, participants will:

• Learn how a 3D printer works
• Explore 3D design using Tinkercad
• Practice combining and modifying shapes to create new designs
• Use design thinking to solve a real classroom problem
• Learn how to troubleshoot and improve prints
• Create and print their own project to take home.

No previous 3D design or printing experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

MARCH 24, 11:59 PM is the deadline to complete your registration and application questions. We will review applications and select 6 participants for this workshop. Applicants who are not selected will be notified and invited to future tech education opportunities.
