BROWNE'S ADDITION: THEN & NOW
Join us for our 34th annual Mother's Day Home Tour and visit iconic mansions of Spokane's oldest neighborhood. This year, we have three locations to visit: Lowewenberg-Roberts House (1889), Dillingham House (1898), and Campbell House (1898).
In addition to access to these three historic buildings, we're offering a guided walking tour around our corner of Browne's Addition for deeper insight into the lives of those living in the early 20th century in this neighborhood.
We're also celebrating the 100th anniversary of Campbell House becoming a museum!
Activities on the day include:
- Admission to 3 historic buildings and museum galleries
- Hourly guided walking tours - meet in the carriage house at 12, 1, 2 and 3 pm
- Live outdoor jazz music with Time Baby
- Complimentary cake and cookies (while supplies last)
- Vintage Model Ts on display
- "Hulda on the Porch" - a living history actress playing our beloved Hulda
- Hot dog vendor selling drinks and dogs
- Lawn games
About the Program: Every year this popular event is a fundraiser for the museum's education department and offers an exclusive look at Spokane's historic homes and buildings, highlighting a neighborhood and/or theme each time.
What to know about the tour:
Your booklet has your admission ticket for each house on the back cover. Be sure to have this with you when visiting each house (one per person).
Pre-purchased tickets will be available for pickup at the museum admissions desk starting Tuesday, May 5. Tickets can also be claimed at the ticket tent on Sunday, May 10.
Tickets are available for purchase in-person at the ticket tent in front of Campbell House on Sunday, May 10 or at the museum admissions desk at any time.
Foot covers will be provided. Please take these with you to each location and put them on before entering each home.
There are no food, drinks, smoking, photography, backpacks, spiked heels, pets, or strollers allowed inside the homes.
