ABOUT US – 34th ANNIVERSARY
Join us as we celebrate the 34th Annual Millennium Builders Awards Banquet on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM. This year's gala will spotlight exceptional leadership in construction, engineering, business, and government. We will honor outstanding Industry Leaders who are building a more inclusive and innovative future across the professional services and construction sectors.
The Millennium Builders Banquet has become known as a premier networking event, bringing together multicultural contractors, corporate executives, and strategic community leaders. We invite you to attend and encourage you to bring your suppliers, clients, and business associates for an unforgettable evening of celebration, recognition, and connection.
We also invite you to support the event by purchasing ad space in our 34th Anniversary Souvenir Booklet, a valuable opportunity to showcase your business and support a great cause.
STEM EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The United States Minority Contractors Association (USMCA) proudly supports the next generation of innovators through its STEM Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) initiative designed to elevate underrepresented minority students in Chicagoland and beyond.
The STEM program aims to inspire curiosity, exploration, and excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by exposing students to real-world challenges and professional career paths. By connecting youth to USMCA member firms in construction and professional services, the initiative creates meaningful pipelines to college and career success.
At this year's banquet, we will proudly present STEM Foundation Scholarships to selected students. These deserving students will be in attendance to receive their awards and share in the celebration.
USMCA STEM PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL LEVELS
Education Partnerships (Grades K–12)
USMCA partners with elementary, middle, and high schools to introduce students to STEM careers through:
- Interactive workshops
- Problem-solving case studies
- Lab experiments
- Project site tours
- One-on-one speed mentoring
Mentorships (Grades 9–12)
Mentorship plays a crucial role in preparing students for future leadership and career success. USMCA’s Mentorship Program pairs students with experienced professionals who help guide academic and career development through tailored one-on-one mentorship experiences.
Internships (Post-High School and College Students)
Internship opportunities are available to high school graduates pursuing STEM careers. USMCA member and partner firms offer competitive winter break (2–4 weeks) and summer (2–3 months) internships.
Special emphasis is placed on recruiting students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), helping to ensure access to career-building opportunities in the fields of construction, engineering, and professional services.
