Walk with us and raise money to help us meet the basic needs of our neighbors and help keep them safely housed and warm this winter.All of the proceeds from the Walk for Warmth directly help our neighbors in need.
Registration starts at 12:30 pm. Interfaith Thanksgiving services starts at 1:30 pm. The walk starts at 2:15 pm.
There are a one mile option, two mile option or a virtual choose your challenge option.
Walk for Warmth:
* Hundreds of families who struggle to afford basic needs in the towns they live in confront the depletion of their deliverable fuel supply or the discontinuation of their electric or gas service every year - WAIM is there to assist.
*Energy crises are one of the contributing factors of homelessness in our area.
*Families who lose electric, gas, or oil service are also in danger of losing custody of their children.
*Funds donated to the WAIM Private Energy Assistance program go directly to helping our neighbors with emergency needs. Most of these funds are raised during the annual Walk for Warmth.
*YOU CAN HELP us to ensure that our neighbors can live in heated homes with warm showers and hot meals throughout the coldest season of the year.
