5/22/2024: Class of 94! Here are your daily announcements:

Hello! We hope this message finds you well and in good spirits!
As stated in the last post, our reunion venue, date, and time have been established!
But, before we continue we would just like to reiterate that we want to provide full disclosure of the planning, decisions, and the rationale in making this a fun and memorable evening. Your committee of volunteers and helpers has been hard at work to make this reunion amazing for all of us! Keep reading for more exciting information about your 30th reunion!

DATE: The CLASS of 1994’s 30th REUNION will be on September 14, 2024.

VENUE: The shenanigans will take place at the St. John Township Trustee and Community Center in Schererville. 1515 W. Lincoln Hwy, Schererville, IN 46375

TIME: The party will begin at 5 p.m. and carry on until the wee hour of 11:30 pm! (It has been mentioned that some would like to go to Longshots after the reunion for old time's sake. If so, we will give them a call to be on the lookout for people nearing senior citizenship.)

BANK: The committee opened an LC 30th Reunion bank account at Chase which all committee members have access to for full accountability.

FUNDS: Our class funds are currently at a zero balance. To hold the date of the venue, your class committee of volunteers have already put down the deposit, but now we need funds to continue to move forward with this event.

DEPOSIT: To get things rolling, we've created a “HOLD THE DATE” deposit. This is an upfront deposit of $10.00 per ticket, that will go towards the total ticket balance and will need to be made by July 1st. Not only will this deposit allow us to pay for things upfront, but it will also allow us to get a better headcount to prepare for the necessities of this event.
Unfortunately, the $10 deposit per ticket will have to be nonrefundable to pay for things in advance. We understand that what we are asking is not the norm, but due to our financial circumstances, we hope you all can empathize!

BANKING APP: The banking app that we are using to collect funds is called the CASH app. It is available to be downloaded in all app stores. A picture, link, and QR code will be provided in the comments section. This technology was not available 10 years ago and so we are lucky because it will make transactions and accountability easier to access. Because we are using this app, you can pay more than our requested $10 by July 1st and you can also pay your ticket in full before the due date if you so wish.

DONATIONS: Some have mentioned donating tickets to other classmates. If you wish to pay for a classmate, please send us a DM with the name of the person you’d like to donate a ticket(s) to and we will inform them that their ticket has been paid. We can either let them know who paid for the ticket or allow you to be anonymous. As for donating to the reunion event, any denomination can be sent through the CASH app with a message stating the money is a donation to the reunion.

INCLUDED: Included in the ticket price is our buffet dinner, open bar (Domestic beer, imported beer, wine, and pop), bartender, security, DJ, and all the little things that just begin to add up, but that’s not all! We also have a couple of little surprises for your entertainment purposes!

TICKETS: The price per ticket will be $60.

DUE DATES: “HOLD THE DATE” Deposits of $10 for each ticket will be due July 1st. Any remaining balances will be due no later than August 13th. If there are any special circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact us.

HOTEL BLOCKS: The Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel has 5 kings and 5 doubles on reserve for our event on the days of 9/13 and 9/14. The kings are at a rate of $189+tax per night and the doubles are at a rate of $215 per night. We are waiting to hear back from 1 more hotel.
If you prefer to make your own arrangements, the 4 nearest hotels are Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge, and Best Western, all located in Schererville. The Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge are right down the street from the venue on Route 30 and the Hampton Inn and Best Western are just south of the intersection of 30 & 41 on Indianapolis Blvd.

Memorial Table: The committee wants to create a memorial table for those in our class who have passed away. Between the 4 of us, we may know some names, but we don’t want to forget anyone. If you know of someone, respectfully, please DM us their name and any other information that you have or would like to have presented. If you have a photo we could print, that would be even better! Please pass along any ideas you may have that will help us to best commemorate their legacy.
