30th Annual Diggers and Duffers Golf Tournament

The Annual Diggers & Duffers Golf Tournament is an ongoing tradition for the University of Arizona's SME Student Chapter and acts as our primary fundraiser. As the mining industry seeks more individuals with various skillsets, we have had a dramatic increase in membership and participation, sending 40+ students to MineExpo 2024 in Las Vegas and MINEXCHANGE 2025 in Denver in addition to our 3 competition teams to the Intercollegiate Mining Games in England. The proceeds from this tournament are used to directly help student members experience meaningful professional and educational opportunities across the mining world. These include sending students to MINEXCHANGE 2026 in Salt Lake City, hosting the Intercollegiate Mining Games in Tucson, and on field trips to mine sites and other educational locations.

We wouldn't be able to grow our members into the industrial professionals and leaders of tomorrow if not for your generous contributions.
