30th Annual Candlelight Cemetery Tour
About this Event
The Gallatin City Cemetery is home to old-fashioned tombstones and towering memorials that date back to 1814. Many of Sumner County’s most fascinating characters are buried in the cemetery.
At the 30th Annual Candlelight Cemetery Tour, you will hear some of their life stories as you follow the candlelit path through the cemetery. For 2026, all characters portrayed are descendants of Revolutionary War heroes of Sumner County in honor of America 250.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, tours begin at 5 p.m.; a new tour starts every five minutes. The final tour begins at 9:12 p.m.
Tickets will be sold for specific start times and will only be available for purchase online.
This is a rain or shine event. A Sumner County Museum event, 100% of the proceeds go directly to Museum programming and upgrades.* Assistance available for those with limited mobility for tours starting 5-6:59 p.m.*
