Do you love restorative yoga? Are you interested in creating and guiding restorative practices to help your students relax? Perhaps you’d like to add restorative yoga into your home practice, but not sure where to start. Are you ready to learn a practice that is growing in popularity due to its accessibility to all students and its benefits of activating the relaxation response? This training is for you.
KEY ESSENTIALS:
• Restorative Yoga and the science behind the relaxation response
• Posture clinics to learn poses, benefits, and contraindications
• Creative use of props and effective sequencing
• The art of assists and adjustments
• Calming breath techniques
• Theming and ambiance of an inspiring class
UPON COMPLETION YOU WILL RECEIVE:
• 30 hours of continuing education credit, which can be used for Yoga Alliance CEU hours
• Certification of completion
• Printed 140+ page training manual
• Extended list of recommended readings and resources
• Continued community of like-minded teachers/ students of yoga
DESIGNED FOR: New and experienced yoga teachers, health and wellness professionals, students of yoga, curious humans interested in learning how to relax and reset their nervous system
METHODOLOGY: Lectures, demos, practice, partner exercises, and practice teaching, readings/homework, class observations, community class, mentor session, training manual, discussions, and Q&A
REQUIRED READING: Deep Listening by Jillian Pransky and Relax and Renew by Judith Hanson Lasater
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The 30HR training will consist of:
• 16 training hours - In-person at Rising Lotus Oct 2-4 and Online via Nicole’s platform on Oct 7
• 2 class observation hours - 1 observation must be Nicole’s class in-person or online
• 10 self-study/hw hours - complete readings & assignments prior to final practicum.
• 1 mentor hour - online with Nicole to answer questions, prepare for final practicum, and discuss next steps
• 1 community class hour - lead final practicum on agreed-upon date/time/location with Nicole to provide support and feedback

Teacher Bio:
Nicole Schneider is a full-time traveling yoga teacher, 500HR E-RYT, YACEP, with training in multiple Hatha styles. Along with her full teaching schedule, Nicole leads private and corporate yoga sessions, hosts international yoga retreats, supports community efforts through yoga fundraising events, and shares her teachings online, outdoors, and in yoga workshops, events, and trainings across the Chicagoland area. Nicole has developed her own Yoga Adjustments and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Programs and is passionate about mentoring and training other teachers and students. With a global finance background and Northwestern MBA, Nicole understands the stress of corporate life and enjoys helping others cultivate their own peace and balance through yoga and meditation.
