3-Week Intro to Plumbing: Bathrooms and Kitchens EVANSTON

This is a 3 week class running on consecutive Saturday afternoons. It will meet from 2:30-5:30pm on Jan 11, 18, and 25.

‘This course is designed for the aspiring DIYer who wants to be comfortable doing their own plumbing work outside the wall.

Day 1: We’ll cover how water flows through your home with a special emphasis on drain maintenance and diagnosing/fixing clogs. Participants will learn how modern drain systems work. We'll cover drain pitch, internal and external venting, cleanouts and traps.

Day 2 Bathrooms: We’ll get hands on in the workshop. Participants will practice removing and installing a tank type toilet, including supply lines, and installing a vanity, sink faucet, supply lines and drain connections.

Day 3 Kitchens: Participants will practice how to install a kitchen sink, faucet and garbage disposal. We’ll also cover soldering copper pipe connections.

Our instructor is Dean “Coach” Rennie. Dean has many years of experience training in the construction trades and has a wealth of tips, tricks and helpful advice to share.

CLASS CREDIT POLICY::

• If you give notice by email that you need to withdraw from a class 14 days before the start of the class, the amount paid for the class will be applied towards a class credit redeemable within one year towards a future class.
• If you give notice by email that you need to withdraw from a class between 2 weeks and 48 hours before the start of the class, 50% of the amount paid towards the class will be applied towards a class credit redeemable within one year towards a future class.
• There are no credits provided for any cancellation with less than 48 hours notice. There are no exceptions to this policy.
• If Rebuilding Exchange cancels a workshop, you will receive a full refund, returned via your original payment method. Our team will contact you by phone and/or email with any updates regarding class cancellations due to weather.
