About this Event

Ready to turn big ideas into a finished story?

Join Clare for a structured three-session, story writing series where children will plan, write, and complete their very own original story — building sentence-level skills and confidence every step of the way.

Each session builds on the last, guiding young writers through the full storytelling journey in a fun, supportive environment.

Small Group Size: Maximum of 8

At The End of A Series Your Child Will Gain:
  • A clear understanding of story structure
  • Stronger sentence construction
  • Richer vocabulary
  • More writing confidence
  • A finished story to take home and celebrate!

Each 2 hour session costs £20 per child. The total cost to join the 3-session series is £60 for 6 hours of storywriting fun! Booking the full series before 1st March secures the £60 rate. Monthly bookings (1st–9th of each month) total £65, as separate processing incurs additional platform fees.

Session1

🕑: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Session 1: Create a Strong Beginning (14 March)

Info: Sparking imagination using a creative visual prompt to inspire ideas.
Children will plan their story, develop a main character and setting, write an exciting story opening, practise sentence structure and descriptive vocabulary.
By the end of this session, they’ll have a powerful beginning that hooks the reader.

Session 2

🕑: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Session 2: Develop the Middle Section (25 April)

Info: Time to build the adventure!
Children will be guided step-by-step to develop the main conflict or surprise, add detail, action, and dialogue, expand sentences and vary vocabulary, build tension and keep the reader engaged.
This session strengthens storytelling structure while developing writing stamina and creativity.

Session 3

🕑: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Session 3: Write a Strong End (23 May)

Info: Every great story deserves a brilliant ending. Children will plan and write a satisfying ending, edit their work, refine sentence structure and word choices. Children will leave with a completed story — a fantastic achievement of which to be proud!
