3 Hour Team Endurance 1990's GT1 Slot Car Race

We at Dunfermline Slot Car Racing Club are hosting another 3 hour endurance event on our 135ft 4-lane wooden track.
This will be a team event, with teams made up of a minimum of 2 drivers, or a maximum of 4 drivers. Since it is a Le Mans style event, where the drivers will compete in 15-minute race sessions in a segmented type race. A segmented race is a 4 race session (once in each of our 4 lanes), so over one segmented race there will be 4 15-minute race sessions. Over the 3 hours of racing that will be 12 15-minute race sessions.
Car regulations for this event for which are eligible is rather simple.
Any 1990's era GT1 class car is eligible, and no requirements for the cars to have working lights also. This includes vehicles such as Ferrari F40 LM's, Lotus Elise GT1's, Lister Storms, McLaren F1 GTR's (Short tail and long tail variants), Porsche 911 GT1 including Evo 98, Mercedes CLK-GTR, Toyota GT-One etc. These can be made from varying manufacturers, and allowing 3d printed chassis to create a diverse range of vehicles to be eligible for use.
Regulations for all vehicles are as follows:
Motor limts: maximum of 25k long can motors or 28/30k s-can motors dependant on motor pod layout/configuration. Gears and pinions are free choice by teams/builders.
Chassis: Can be manufacturer original or a 3d-printed variant for allowing car of said era to used on track. No slot.it HRS style/RTR chassis allowed, as chassis must cover complete size of body when viewed from underneath.
Tyres: Any rubber based tyre is allowed along with sponge tyres also (sponge tyres recommended). NO silicon or urethane based tyres allowed at all.
Interiors: Can be standard interior or lexan/lightweight interiors installed within the vehicle.
A Single back-up car is allowed should there be any technical issues with cars during the racing. These will come with a 10-lap penalty if used, and allowing cars that have to be repaired to be repaired and put back into the spare back-up car position. If required to put the repaired back-up car back onto track will also incur a 10-lap penalty.
Race Format rules:
4 x 15-minute segmented heats per hour. Meaning in this 3 hour event, each team will do 12 x 15-minute segmented heats
Cars can be worked on for technical issues during the warm-up and during the segmented race heats.
Lane changeover intermissions are only for cleaning your tyres with either a lint roller/tape or with lighter fluid.
Any technical work during the intermission will incur lap penalties on that team!
Entry fees are £20 per team, this may increase if more teams get involved and the requirement to change to a 2-day event is required.
