Sankhya brings to you
Bodhkatha - The Clever Rabbit through the idiom of Bharatnatyam. &
'Rajala Aali Jaag'
Bodhkatha began with the thought of looking back at the Panchatantra tales to understand
the moral and relevance today.
With a question today of how and where do these characters fit in
the society today?
Over the years these stories found expression in other mediums
such as fine arts performing arts digital arts etc. But the expansion of the medium and the extension of time slowly the morals and values are forgotten and what has remained was just a tale.
A blood thirsty Lion has wrecked havoc in the beautiful jungle! All animals come together to find a solution to the this problem. Helplessly they decide to send one animal daily to the beast’s den.
It is now the Rabbit’s turn to sacrifice his life to save his fellow animals. But this rabbit is not like any other.
He is witty and smart! The clever Rabbit puzzles the Lion to death with his own reflection in the Well!!!
All of the Animal kingdom rejoices with Joy they have been rid of the greatest Predator !
But little did they know…
The greatest predator of all times the human beings were fast encroaching the lands of these innocent creatures.
The trees were cut and animals caged to be taken to the zoos! These animals struggled in vain to find freedom.
All their lands now under the foot of skyscraping buildings….
Bodhkatha brings to you an honest tale of the nature around us – What it has taught us wise tales with rich morals and how we are harming our Mother nature today.
Bodhkatha an amalgam of the old and modern is specially designed for kids within the framework of Bharatnatyam as an effort to reach out to the younger audience.
