*This weekend is going to be even busier than usual! In addition to fieldwork and the lab, we will also have an info table at the market at the Burgwin-Wright house and will need volunteers for that, too. Plus, the St. Patrick's parade is this day! Front St. will be closed at 10am and will reopen after the parade, which runs 111-12:30pm.*
Come volunteer with Public Archaeology Corps in Wilmington, NC! Experience the history of Wilmington, a former colonial port town, hands-on! No experience necessary and all ages are welcome- even kids. The lab is open Fridays & Saturdays for volunteers, and the dig is open on Saturdays.
*Fieldwork* is downtown on Quince Alley between Water & Front streets. We start setting up around 9:00, not actually digging yet then, and finish roughly 3-4 but you're welcome to come and go as needed. There's plenty to do besides actually digging if that's not your thing! 😁We also need people to help screen for artifacts and even need people interested in volunteering as greeters/docents as we get so many visitors to the site.
*The Lab* goes from 9-3 on Fridays and Saturdays and is located at 27 N. Front St. It is the door to the right of The Gourmet Market. Please only show up to volunteer; we are not welcoming random visitors there just yet unless by special arrangement.

*Parking not available on-site. We suggest the parking deck on Market between Front St & 2nd St or one of the City parking lots (not the private ones.) They aren't free but they are cheaper than the meters and this way you don't have to worry about adding time. Let us know if there's an accessibility issue and we'll try to accommodate*
