It's easy to feel alone and disconnected in society today. Add to that a sometimes hostile and frightening world that quite literally threatens your safety and it's even harder to find and build community. Lacking community is a serious problem. Did you know that lacking social connection is a negative health equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day*?We at the UUCL want to be a part of changing this dynamic. Through our affirming and accepting congregations, our fun and free social events, and supporting local activism, we have been building a community of radicals, queers, progressives, and otherwise like minded individuals. Now we further our commitment to providing a safe and compassionate space by inviting you to share your story, or offer support, or learn how you can be a better ally. Every second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm we'll spend time together, honoring eachother's walk and recognizing eachother's inherent worth and dignity.
No matter who you are, who you love, who or what you worship, you are welcome here!
