Use paper to create your own stepped pyramid sculpture inspired by Daniel Rich’s detailed painting of The Ziggurat building in Sacramento, a modern office structure modeled after ancient Mesopotamian temples. No art experience required, all materials provided.
Artist Daniel Rich translates photographs into paintings that explore social narratives transcribed in the built environment. His work explores changing power structures, failed utopias, and the impacts of ideological struggles and natural upheavals. Explore works by Rich and other NC-based artists in 𝘜𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘹𝘦𝘥: 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘮, on view at NCMA Winston-Salem Downtown through August 30.
