π± We invite you to join us for the Second Saturday Garden Walk at the Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener VEGETABLE & COMMUNITY Demonstration Garden on Saturday, July 11, from 9-11 am, at CRC CARE Center at Stout, located at 2303 SW College Ave., Topeka, KS 66611. After you visit this garden, we encourage you to visit the NATIVE PLANT GARDEN at Washburn University, located at 2075 SW Washburn Ter., on the southeast corner of campus, just west of the law school.π Free and open to all! Tour at your own pace.
π» Shawnee County Extension Master Gardeners will be on hand to share information and answer questions about the plants and gardening techniques used in the Vegetable & Community Garden.
βοΈ This is an outdoor garden and visitors are encouraged to bring their own hats, sunscreen, insect repellent, and water bottles.
βοΈ Should the event be canceled due to inclement weather, it will be announced here on Facebook.

π Parking: Free, paved parking lot at location.
βοΈ Location details: Garden paths are comprised of mulch.
π½ Restrooms/water: Restrooms and water fountain are available inside the CRC CARE Center.
πͺ Seating: There is an unshaded picnic table at this location, as well as several seats under a shaded pergola. Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs.
*The Second Saturday Garden Walks will be held April through August at our demonstration gardens in Topeka. Check our Facebook page events for more information.
