Join us for our 2nd Saturday Educational Series: The Land Lottery, Deeds, and Finding your Ancestors Land Records. Presenter: Danny Spivey.
Land records are invaluable records when trying to place your ancestors but can be hard to locate if you don't know where to look. Danny will speak on the Land Lottery in Coweta County and the records associated with a land draw. He will explain how the lotteries worked, what a land district is, as well as explaining land lots. Finally, he will explain how to research land records.
Understanding Land Records and knowing how to find them is a game changer and Danny is an excellent teacher! We hope you will be able to join us.
