Following the success of its inaugural edition, 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 presents 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, bringing together aspiring communicators, creative minds and media enthusiasts from across the country.
Media Carnival is a multidisciplinary platform designed to explore the diverse dimensions of media and communication through reporting, public speaking, visual storytelling, design, research, quizzes, problem solving and collaborative media production.
The following events will be hold in the Carnival.
▪𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁
1. 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁
A creative writing challenge that tests the participant's ability to communicate an idea, perspective or narrative through a concise and compelling caption.
2. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵
A test of spontaneous thinking, articulation, structure and public speaking. Participants will be required to develop and present their thoughts within a limited time.
3. 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁
An opportunity to demonstrate journalistic observation, information processing, reporting skills, and the ability to present an event or situation accurately and effectively.
4. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝗺𝗼
A media-oriented challenge that combines observation, reasoning, analysis and problem solving.
Registration Fee: 150 BDT
▪𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁
1. 𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘃𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀
A test of media literacy and critical thinking, challenging participants to distinguish credible information from misleading or fabricated news.
2. 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗜𝗤
A competitive assessment of knowledge and awareness across the world of sports.
3. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝘁
A research-oriented challenge where participants must locate, verify and utilize information efficiently with the help of Google.
4. 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇
An individual quiz competition covering relevant areas of media, communication, general knowledge and related subjects.
Registration Fee: 150 BDT
▪𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁
1. 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲
A collaborative creative platform where participants present ideas, information, stories and visual elements through a thoughtfully designed wall magazine.
2. 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹
A creative documentation project combining written content, visual elements and personal interpretation to construct a coherent journal.
3. 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁
An opportunity for participants to communicate an idea, perspective or narrative through photography and visual storytelling.
Registration Fee: 250 BDT (Each)
▪𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁
1. 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
A team-based presentation that integrates visual content, information, communication and storytelling to convey a compelling and coherent message.
2. 𝗕𝘂𝘇𝘇 𝗢𝗳𝗳
A competitive team challenge that emphasizes speed, accuracy, knowledge and coordination.
3. 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲
A collaborative problem solving challenge requiring logical reasoning, communication, analytical thinking and effective teamwork.
Registration Fee: 300 BDT (Each)
▪𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁
1. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲
An opportunity to explore storytelling through film, allowing participants to communicate ideas, perspectives and narratives through audiovisual media.
2. 𝗔𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴
A creative advertising challenge focused on developing an effective concept and communicating an idea through the language of advertising.
3. 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮
A contemporary media challenge combining creativity, visual communication, cultural awareness and humour.
4. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲
A competitive design challenge that evaluates participants' ability to develop effective visual concepts and communicate ideas through design.
