Greetings, fellow language aficionados! đī¸Viqarunnisa English Language Club (VELC) is back with its highly anticipated 2nd Intra Language Fiesta : From words to world peace, let language be the key.
Words and letters have transcended dimensions repeatedly and bled resolutions in the face of revolutions. Be that a personal or a universal one, the one notion that has existed from âMacbethâ by Shakespeare inspiring people to realize the depths of one's moral decay to âRhinocerosâ by Eugène Lonesco delivering the horrors of totalitarianism to its audience - is that language crossed the boundaries of time and pages and sailed on people's hearts to a voyage of attending a better and kinder world.
But today we all stand on a reality that is so similar to the horrors once only imagined in fiction. The newspapers are soaked with the death of dreams; the same way the radio keeps blaring with cries. At times like this, people must come together for the common vision of turning deaths into rebirths and cries into rejoice. Or, simply put, to attend world peace.
Regardless of time, demise, or international borders, literature has always brought people together under the umbrella of belonging to an utopia. Swimming through these thought-provoking poems, electrifying dramas, provocative novels, one can find role models and ideals that can potentially change the world. Because it's always the cumulative of a million âuâs that becomes âusâ.
We aspire to encourage you - the young minds, the sparkling diamonds in the rough - to comprehend this very power of words. Join us in the exploration of a new dimension of language learning; and, more importantly - understanding the âwhyâ behind this very learning. Together, we hope to exist in a world where peace and language go hand in hand to promote diversity, acceptance, and kindness.
