Event Descriptions:
1. Astronomy Olympiad
Prepare for an exhilarating journey through the cosmos! This challenging written exam invites participants to tackle theoretical and mathematical problems that deepen their astronomical understanding. Engage in a 30-minute session of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) designed to test your knowledge of celestial phenomena. The segment is open to Junior, Secondary, and Higher Secondary levels, with awards for the top three winners from each category.
2. Astro Quiz
Join us for the exciting Astro Quiz, where your knowledge of Astrophysics, Astrobiology, and Astrochemistry will be put to the ultimate test! Participants will answer thought-provoking multiple-choice questions within a 20-minute timeframe, competing for the title of quiz champion. The top three winners from each category will be celebrated for their stellar performance.
3. Space Science and Planetary Science Quiz
Embark on a mind-expanding adventure in this quiz! Participants will face a series of multiple-choice questions over 20 minutes that explore the mysteries of our solar system and beyond. Ideal for enthusiasts eager to showcase their knowledge, this quiz will reward the top three winners from each category.
4. Star Mapping
Test your observational skills in the Star Mapping event! Participants will identify and label various constellations on a provided map, enhancing their understanding of celestial formations. The winner will be determined by who identifies the most constellations and spells their names correctly. Higher Secondary participants will tackle a more challenging task, identifying complete constellations from a map featuring only star names. Can you navigate the night sky?
5. Movie-Based Quiz
Get ready for the Movie-Based Quiz, where your passion for cinema and space come together! Answer multiple-choice questions over 20 minutes focused on popular films that explore themes of astronomy and space exploration.

o Secondary: Alien (1979), Interstellar (2010)
o Higher Secondary: Inception (2015), Contact (1997)
6. Cosmic Case Solving
Step into the role of a cosmic detective in this event! Participants will analyze intriguing space-related scenarios and propose logical, scientifically sound solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your reasoning skills and creativity to solve real-world astronomical dilemmas. Are you up for the challenge?
7. Painting
Unleash your creativity in our Painting event! Participants are encouraged to create captivating artistic representations of astronomical themes, from celestial bodies to cosmic scenes and personal interpretations of the universe. You’ll receive art paper from VNAC, and with an open topic, the sky's the limit—let your imagination soar!
8. PowerPoint Presentation
Step into the spotlight with our PowerPoint Presentation event! Participants will create and deliver dynamic presentations on selected astronomy topics, each lasting 5 minutes. It will be a team work consists of 2 members. This is a fantastic chance to share your insights and discoveries while honing your communication skills. Make an impact and inspire your audience! 9. Contextual/Extempore Speech
Join us for the Contextual/Extempore Speech event, where quick thinking and eloquent expression take center stage! Participants will receive a prompt and have a limited time to prepare an impromptu speech on various astronomy-related topics. Can you captivate your audience with your insights?
10. Photography
Calling all aspiring photographers! Showcase your talent by capturing the breathtaking beauty of the night and day skies in our Photography Contest. Share stunning images that highlight the wonders of the skies, and let your artistic vision shine!

11. The Scrapbook
Embark on a creative journey with The Scrapbook event! Participants will craft visually engaging scrapbooks exploring various astronomy themes. This hands-on activity allows you to blend images, facts, and artistic elements to tell compelling stories about celestial bodies, space missions, or your favorite astronomical concepts.

12. Wall Magazine
Unleash your creativity in the Wall Magazine event, where participants will craft eye-catching displays on a variety of astronomy topics. This is a team-based activity, with teams consisting of 3 members. This is your chance to combine knowledge with artistic flair, creating informative and visually appealing presentations that captivate audiences.

• Space Exploration Missions, Kuiper Belt, Oort Cloud (Secondary)
• Dark Matter, Dark Energy, String Theory, Multiverse (Higher Secondary)
Submit your work by the scheduled time before the contest. The preferred size is 4ft x 3ft.
13. Project Display
Join us for the Project Display event, where participants will exhibit their innovative astronomy-related projects. This team-based event requires teams to consist of 3 members, allowing participants to present their research, models, and experiments while highlighting their creativity and understanding of astronomical concepts.
