About this Event
Come out for a day of fishing and fun with the City of Winter Haven!
On April 12th 2025, join us at South Lake Howard Nature Park from 8:00am to 11:00am for some spring fun! Everyone is welcome to fish in our stocked pond, but only those under 15 are eligible to win some fun prizes. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Live bait will be provided.
Don’t know how to fish? Now’s the time to learn! We will have FWC and Winter Haven’s Natural Resources giving free lessons for any kids interested in learning to fishing.
100 Youth Participants will be eligible to receive a free rod and reel after completing 5 instructional stations on fishing in Florida - thanks to Fish Florida for providing the rods & reels!
