About The Summit:

The 2nd Annual “Urban Renewable Energy Summit” is a FREE community-driven event empowering South LA residents, businesses, and property owners to explore opportunities in sustainable development, clean energy innovation, and career growth- key drivers of California’s clean energy future.

Hosted by the Minority Renewable Energy Summit of California, in partnership with LA County, SoCalREN, and Emerald Cities Collective, this event will feature an inspiring opening plenary, outdoor community resource expo, and three expert-led panel discussions designed to spark collaboration, innovation, and progress toward a more energy-secure and sustainable South LA County.

The goal of the Urban Renewable Energy Summit is to:

• Expand access to clean energy programs and resources for underserved communities
• Connect residents, small businesses, and property owners to sustainability solutions
• Highlight workforce and career pathways in the clean energy sector
• Elevate community voices and local leadership in the energy transition
• Foster partnerships across public agencies, industry, and community organizations

Event Activities & Offerings:

• Opening Plenary celebrating Earth Day 2026 and setting the stage for collaboration, innovation, and a more energy-secure and sustainable future.
• Outdoor Clean Energy Expo with 60+ exhibitors showcasing clean energy programs, sustainability resources, workforce opportunities, and community partners through hands-on engagement.
• Expert-Led Panel Discussions on sustainable redevelopment and wildfire recovery, the role of faith leaders in advancing clean energy, and career pathways in EV and EVSE infrastructure.
• Networking & Community Building opportunities connecting residents, businesses, workforce participants, and clean energy leaders.
• Interactive & Educational Green Activations for Youth, offering fun, hands-on experiences that make clean energy and sustainability accessible for families.
