🎉 Oktoberfest Alert! 🎉Get ready for the 2nd Annual Rusty Axe Brewing Oktoberfest! 🍻
Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2 PM for a day filled with festive fun, great music, und, of course, amazing craft beers! The Rusty Axe Brewing Company is turning up the excitement this year with an even bigger and better celebration than our first go-around!
🌟 What's Brewing:
Delicious Brews: Sip on a wide selection of handcrafted beers, including our popular Bavarian styles of Rusty Axe Oktoberfest (Märzen), Wolfgang Dunkel (Dunkelweizen), Munich Fest (Festbier), Whosiwhatsit Hefeweizen, und F.A.O. Schwarzbier.
Live Music: Enjoy fantastic live performances by The Houston Ensemble (featuring Vincent Powell from American Idol), The Dogensteins (our German style oompah band from Dallas), und The Emily Henline Band (a rising star from Nashville) that will keep you dancing all afternoon und evening long.
Tasty Treats: Indulge in mouth-watering food from Rusty Axe Brewing, Boxcar BBQ, Viet Fusion, Shali's Indian Kitchen, und Totally Roasted Nutz.
Fun Competitive Activities: Participate in our fun Oktoberfest games and activities. SIGN UP at Rusty Axe Brewing at the bar. Starting with:
#1 - 1st Annual Rusty Axe Beer Run at 2pm - Must be 21 to enter! Entrants will run a 1 mile route, while stopping for an 8oz beer every 1/4 mile. There is a $25 entry fee, of which a portion of each fee will be given to Kurth Animal Shelter!
#2 - Stein Hoisting Competition (Masskrugstemmen) at 4:30pm - A 1 liter stein will be loaned out from Rusty Axe, und each entrant will have a $12 entrance fee to pay for the bier.
#3 - Barrel Rolling Race (Fassrollen) at 4:40pm - This event is for teams of 2 persons. One contestant knocks the barrel over und rolls it one way und then the other rolls it back across. Fastest team wins.
#4 - Yodeling Contest (Jodelwettbewerb) at 7:15pm - Calling all crooners, singers und troubadours! This could be Bavarian style or country style. Come show off your acapella vibrato skills und WOW us all!
#5 - Crosscut Log Sawing Competition (Holzsägen) at 7:30pm - Cosponsored by SFA Sylvans Timbersports. This event is for teams of 2 persons using a 2 person saw, sawing a log in two. The fastest team wins.
#6 - Other free games to enjoy - Corn Hole, Giant Jinga, Darts und Beer pong!
Vendors: Tomahawk Targets (Axe throwing trailer), Stories Cigar Lounge, The Selfie Studio (photo booth), SFA Sylvan Timbersports, RV Motorhomes of Texas und the Rusty Axe Brewing Merch Booth.
