Welcome to the 2nd Annual Rancho Cordova Scholastic Gaming Expo!

Come join us at Rancho Cordova City Hall for a day filled with fun and games. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking to have a good time, this event is perfect for all ages. Test your skills, meet fellow gamers, and enjoy a day dedicated to the world of gaming.

We will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament as our main competitive event, open to players of all skill levels—from casual participants to competitive gaming athletes.

In a charmed career, David Gonzalez's first live performance was Carnegie Hall. From there, he embodied the cross-culturalizm of American Taiko from Spanish immersion programs in Alaska to the Grand Sumo Tournament in Las Vegas (and as Jabba the Hutt's drum master on Tatooine). As an indigenous voice and teacher paraeducator, and recruiter for San Francisco Taiko Dojo, David has brought taiko and lion dance to generations of public school youth and, as an event producer, to thousands.

HONORED GUEST: Artoosc and The D Squad

This group was founded on the love of the Star Wars franchise and an affinity for the droids of that universe. Founder Steve Mead entered the convention scene 8 years ago with his Artoo droid. As he made friends and found those with a passion for droids and Star Wars parallel to his own, The D Squad was formed in 2020 with co-founder Kristopher Larson. Together they have created a group of members that strive to share their love of Star Wars and droids with the public, bringing them smiles and joy. The group also supports various charities by raising funds for the charities and attending charity functions.

Their overall mission is to bring happiness and smiles to the public while sharing the love of Star Wars and the many characters of the franchise.
