2nd Annual NOFA-NJ Mushroom Fest

Join us for the NOFA-NJ 2nd annual Mushroom Fest!  A day devoted to the fantastic world of fungi and learning.  Participants will visit different Asbury Park businesses set up as classroom experiences.  From hands on block and log inoculation, to scientific lab practices, there will be offerings for both the advanced mycologist, and the entry level mushroom curious. This is a ticketed event that includes a mid-day culinary tasting experience, a take home “grow kit”, access to foraging resources, and a deeper connection to our community of growers, medical professionals, law makers, and activists, and the knowledge they have to share.  

     The day begins for everyone at 10am at Over The Moon Art Studio.  Then participants will travel through town for the different class period offerings.  Some classes have limited physical space so they will be offered multiple times throughout the day.  LUNCH is NOT INCLUDED. Please plan on scheduling to eat at one of Asbury Park’s MANY wonderful food spots, or pack in a lunch. ***The mid day culinary tastings are not intended to replace a proper meal.***
