2nd Annual memorial Squamish Nation Youth Powwow

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Memorial Squamish Nation Youth Powwow!

Come join us for a weekend of celebration, dance, and culture in Xmelch'stn Village (known as Capilano Reserve). Though this is an all ages competition, our powwow honors the youth of the Squamish Nation and showcases their talent and traditions while offering opportunities for education, employment and healing. With over 100 vendors and information booths, you can purchase traditional creations from moccasins to healing teas, or learn about ongoing community projects. Experience the vibrant colors, rhythmic drumming, and energetic dancing of this cultural event.

Bring your family and friends to enjoy traditional food, arts and crafts, and interactive activities. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Squamish Nation and support the youth in preserving their cultural identity.
