Southern Oregon Speedway is proud to announce the return of one of the biggest events in West Coast dirt racing — the Legends of Dirt Modified Shootout, back for its second year and bigger than ever.
2025 RECAP — YEAR ONE SET THE BAR
Over 90 Cars packed the pits including Iron Giants, I-5 Silver Bullet Late Models and of course
52 IMCA Modifieds for the inaugural Shootout.
Ethan Braaksma (Newton, IA) claimed the $10,000 payday, outdueling Bricen James in a dramatic 40-lap Main event.
Drivers traveled from across the West and Midwest, making it one of SOS’s most competitive and successful Modified events in over a decade.
The race honors the memory of two influential SOS legends — R. Charles Snyder and Bruce “The Rabbit” Rayburn — a tradition continuing into 2026.
