2nd Annual Hot Dog Run - 4 Miles, 4 Hot Dogs, 4 the Dogs!!

It’s time for the 2nd Annual Hot Dog Run. Come eat 4 hot dogs and run or walk 4 miles on Saturday 1/24 at 10:30am eastern all for charity for the Brevard Humane Society.

The event is a charity fundraiser where each participant is asked, but not required, to contribute $5 or $10 to the Brevard Humane Society donation total. #4TheDogs.

Donations can be made in cash, via venmo @DavidDawson, or via the Eventbrite donation tickets on this page.

Come to compete for ultimate bragging rights. We will meet at the downtown Melbourne Mustard’s location, where we will carpool up to the start at Eau Gallie. Once there, we will order and eat two hot dogs, run/walk to downtown, and eat two final hot dogs. Time starts at the bite of your first hot dog and ends after finishing the fourth one. First place will win the golden dog trophy to proudly display for the world to see.

• Please wear appropriate running / walking clothes and shoes.
• Money to buy 4 hot dogs. (We aren’t a sponsored event yet)
• Money for any in-person donations, if applicable.
• A watch / phone / app or some method of tracking your time. Or just note when you leave and arrive. We’re not that serious.

Our origin story:

In looking at going to Mustard’s one day, we realized that the two locations are 4 miles apart, so we joked about eating a hot dog at one location and running to the next one to finish a second dog, since it’s a little more than a 5K. Then the epiphany came that 4 miles would match up nicely with 4 hot dogs and the Hot Dog Run was born!
