We’re excited to bring back the Hoosic River Run for its second year on September 19th. After hearing your feedback from last year, we have added a half marathon—making it the first race of its kind to run through North Adams! All routes feature stunning mountain views, sections along the Hoosic River, pass by art installations at MASS MoCA, and weave through beautiful downtown North Adams.
Since 2010, the Hoosic River Revival has been working with engineers and urban planners to assess the condition of the 70-year-old flood control system and to develop modernization options. The aim is to maintain effective flood protection while also improving the river’s ecological health and creating new community features, such as river walks and better public access to the river.

Event Pricing:
13.1M Half Marathon:
- May 1 – Jul 14: $80
- Jul 15 – Sep 18: $100
- Sep 19 (Race Day): $120
5K:
- May 1 – Jul 14: $40
- Jul 15 – Sep 18: $60
- Sep 19 (Race Day): $70
1-Mile Walk (Untimed):
- May 1 – Sep 19 (Race Day): $20
* A $10 student discount will be available at the checkout for the 5K and Half Marathon distances only, for participants ages 13–22.
* Children 12 and under are FREE in all distances (applied at checkout).

Race Day Schedule:
- Race Start Times: Half Marathon @ 8am, 5K @ 8:15am and 1-Mile Walk to follow immediately after the 5K
- Post Race Celebration: Will run from 10am-1:30pm and will include music, refreshments, and age division awards.

Packet Pickup:
- Early Bib Pick-Up: 9/18, 5-7pm at Building 1 @ MASS MoCA (next to Bright Ideas)
- Race Day Registration & Bib Pick-Up: 9/19, 7-8am at the start line

Awards & Amenities:
- T-shirts will be available in adult sizes XS–XXL and guaranteed for all who register by 8/19. Extra shirts will be available on race day while supplies last.
- All 5K and Half Marathon finishers will receive a commemorative race medal.
- We will be recognizing first place winners in age division categories for the 5K & Half Marathon distances: 12 & under, 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
