General Needs is proud to host the Veteran Warm-Up Distribution Event on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Museum of American Armor.

In partnership with National Grid and PSEG Long Island, General Needs invites local veterans to come together for a special morning of support, community, and connection.
Veterans in attendance will receive a FREE Rothco diamond-quilted jacket, with one of each available per veteran. Following the distribution, veterans will also have the opportunity to tour the Museum of American Armor and experience its incredible collection honoring American military history.
More than a distribution, the Veteran Warm-Up is an opportunity to connect with fellow veterans, explore our nation’s military history, and ensure those who served are prepared for the colder months ahead.
Registration Is Required
Pre-registration is required to attend. Veterans must bring a VA ID, Military ID, and/or DD-214 as proof of military service for event admission.
Important Arrival Information
Please follow signs to enter through the east parking lot. Do not line up or stop on Old Country Road.
We encourage attendees to review the available National Grid and PSEG Long Island assistance services prior to the event.
