Free Tree Giveaway courtesy of Trees for Houston! First come, first serve, starts at 10 a.m., bring a wagon for transportation to your vehicle.
Nature lovers of all ages are invited to Jesse H. Jones Park for a day of discovery, celebrating one of our most important natural resources - trees! Learn about the importance of our forests and how you can help conserve such a vital, but endangered, ecosystem.
Visitors can enjoy wildlife presentations and educational exhibits. Take pictures with a giant, inflatable SMOKEY the BEAR from the Texas A&M Forest Service. Native plants and concession sales will be available from the Jesse Jones Park Volunteers organization.
Great for families of all ages, school groups, and Scouts.
Scouts can work towards their badges in: Environmental Science, Fish & Wildlife Management, Nature, Reptile & Amphibian Study, and Soil & Water Conservation.
