Nominations form will be emailed to the team leader.
-Listing Team name
- 1-4 team members.
-Providing Name, Address, Phone number Photo Id for each member of the team.
-Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all team members are provided with a copy of rules and regulations.
Hunting can commence 0001h, 07 April 26.
- Comp code released 1159h, 06 April 26.
-COMP CODE MUST BE IN PHOTOS & VIDEOS be eligible!
-Final weigh ins/hooks/number to be submitted NLT 1300h on Monday the 26th of April 2026.
- Hooks are to be measured by soft dress makers tape from the base to the tip using the long edge of the hook - It is the combined total.
- Mystery length measured tip of nose to rump in straight line - Form will be provided, details of sex, location, color to be recorded
-Pig Photos must
-full length picture of boar/sow/hooks and a video showing scales/ruler presenting front and around the back of pig with comp code and at least one team member in photo/video.
Biggest dressed pig category is to be submitted via video recording.
Fishing section is catch and release. All fish are to be on brag mat with comp code and team member visible. Must comply with NSW fishing regulations.
General Rules - Please comply with the competition rules as we intend on running the event annually and can only do so without controversy. The following rules are to be adhered to by all entrants of the Glen Innes pigging and fishing competition. If you are unsure about anything, please ask Tegan Harwood on 0408826669.
1. There is to be absolutely no road running or poaching. Entrants must obtain permission to hunt on private property and/or State Forests.
2. Information regarding hunting properties will not be shared and permission will not be issued to anyone to hunt by the Organizers of the Comp.
3. Vehicles are not to “PARADE” their catch around town.
4. All dogs must wear tracking collars whilst hunting. All hunting is to be conducted humanely.
5. If any dogs are missing contact the owner of the property ASAP. You are also required to call Tegan Harwood to document details of the missing dog.
6. Hunting can start from 0001h Monday 06 April 2026
7. There is no restriction on the distance from the Comp that you may hunt.
8. This comp works on honesty and intends on building a reputation on fairness, ethical and legal hunting practices. Please do not bring in any animals that have been illegally harvested, tethered, caged, domesticated or deliberately fed.
9. Pigs will not be eligible for weigh in if they have started to “go off” or decaying.
10. It’s the team’s responsibility to know all State and Local Laws regarding hunting associated with this competition.
11. Dogging, shooting and archery are the only accepted hunting methods. Trapping is prohibited and team disqualified if found to be doing so with no refund of entry fee.
