Honoring 9/11 Through Unity and Service
We are partnering with Just Serve NV to put on a morning of volunteer events benefitting our local community. Dozens of volunteer opportunities are available throughout Henderson and Boulder City to support local nonprofits, schools, parks and families in need. Whether you’re donating, cleaning, crafting or painting—your time and heart make a difference.
Breakfast will be provided at 8am, followed by the service project kickoff.
Choose your preferred project and location from the below. Whether you're painting a wall, writing a card, or donating a can of soup—your time and kindness lift up the whole community.

📍 400 S. Water Street – LDS Chapel
🩸 American Red Cross Blood Drive
Donate blood to help save lives in our community.
🧶 Crocheting Homeless Sleeping Mats
Cut plastic grocery bags into “plarn” (plastic yarn) and crochet sleeping mats for those in need.
🛍️ Bring extra plastic bags if you have them.
📍 1360 S. Boulder Hwy. – Pinecrest Academy Horizon Campus
💌 Ronald McDonald House – Card Making
Make encouraging cards for families with hospitalized children.

📚 Spread the Word Nevada – Book Cleaning & Donation
Clean donated children’s books to prepare them for delivery to underserved schools and families.

Assemble care packages for children battling cancer.

🎃 Jeremy’s Thoughtful Thermals – Halloween Basket Assembly
Put together Halloween gift baskets for children in need.
📍 2980 Robindale Road – Boys & Girls Club (Green Valley Location)
🎨 Interior Room Painting
Help paint and refresh spaces inside the Boys & Girls Club.
🚗 Car Wash
Wash service and company vehicles in the club’s parking lot.
🧵 The Embracing Project – Fleece Blanket Tying
Tie fleece blankets for youth impacted by violence and trauma.
📍 1608 Moser Drive – Boys & Girls Club (Eastside Location)
🎨 Facility Painting
Paint the interior rooms to help revitalize the club for local youth.

🌿 Yard Cleanup
Help clean and maintain the property that supports young homeless women transitioning to independence.
🧤 Bring: gloves, pruners, rakes, wheelbarrows and water.
📍 Pittman Wash Trail – Start at Arroyo Grande Blvd.
🌳 Trail Cleanup
Remove litter and debris along this beautiful desert trail.
🧤 Suggested items to bring: gloves, water, trash bags and grabbers (if available).

Join us for a park beautification effort—great for all ages!
