(2nd Annual) Blacksburg Fire Department "Truck Company Operations" Class

We are inviting 50 firefighters to Come Join Us for the weekend (Saturday March 15th and Sunday March 16th, 2025) in Southwest Virginia for the (Second Annual) Firefighter "Truck Company Operations" Class from 7am-5pm. (Lunch provided).

The class is being taught by a group of local firefighter instructors from the "Forest Training Division" who want you to come learn and test your skills in the areas of Forcible Entry, Ventilation, Primary Search & VEIS, and more!

This event is hosted by the Blacksburg Fire Department, and will be held at the Montgomery County Fire Training Ground, located at 1636 Merrimac Road, Blacksburg VA, 24060.

Each participant will be broken into groups, and rotate through 4 stations throughout the day, covering the above topics.

Station 1: Forcible Entry

Station 2: Ventilation

Station 3: Primary Search

Station 4: VEIS

Each participant will need the following:

· Signed 1403 Waiver (signed by Department Official **PRIOR** to arrival)

· Full Set of In-Date (within 10 years) PPE (in Good Repair)

· SCBA & 2 Spare Bottles

· * MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN - NO EXCEPTIONS*

· VDFP Firefighter 1, or letter from Department Fire Chief acknowledging sufficient skill level and allowing participation
