Join us at the Caribbean Club on Sunday, May 26th at 1pm for the 2nd annual BBQ Fundraiser for Team River Runner and their works with disabled veterans. This event is organized by the Lady’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 333. All money raised from their delicious food will be donated to Team River Runner and their work with our veterans!
There will be live music from 1pm to 9pm. Eddie James kicks the event off at 1pm. Jenny Kelly takes over the show at 3pm. Then Dead Bronco
rocks our outdoor stage with authentic, old school honky tonk music from 5 to 9pm.
Every year, the warm weather and welcoming community of Key Largo hosts Veterans with visual impairment and their guides for Team River Runner’s OuttaSight program. Visually impaired veterans work and bond with their guides over the course of the week, as they learn and develop sea kayaking skills and knowledge of the local flora and fauna.
These events would not happen without the generous support of our community. The VA Adaptive Sports Grant Program provides funding for equipment, supplies, gear rental, and instructor fees, but provides limited support for travel, lodging, and food. Team River Runner relies on the generous support of the Key Largo community year after year to make these memorable training events happen by filling their funding gaps.
