Join us for a weekend dedicated to deepening your understanding of how yoga impacts the body, with a special focus on trauma-informed practices. This workshop is designed for yoga teachers and practitioners interested in enhancing their knowledge of anatomy and physiology, while learning to apply these insights in a trauma-sensitive manner. (This immersion is included in the 2C Yoga Teacher Training)
Weekend Highlights:
-Explore the impact of yoga on key body systems, such as the cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems, understanding their interplay in trauma scenarios.
-Learn and practice a variety of grounding techniques, including mindful breathing, sensory awareness, and body scanning, to help students stabilize and connect with their bodies during practice.
-Discuss and apply trauma-informed modifications and safety guidelines to ensure yoga practice is accessible and supportive.
Integrate anatomical knowledge into yoga practice through targeted exercises that emphasize understanding the function of bones, muscles, and joints in yoga asanas.
-Participate in workshops that combine anatomy with trauma-informed yoga principles, enhancing both your teaching skills and your ability to modify practices to meet diverse needs.
-Engage in case studies and role-playing scenarios to refine your approach to trauma-informed teaching, focusing on ethical decision-making, effective communication, and sensitivity to students’ backgrounds and experiences.
Investment:�$315 for the full weekend, including all sessions and materials. Participants will receive 14 Continuing Education Credits upon completion.
This workshop will be led by Teresa Crowley & Nicole Beall, experienced yoga educators who specialize in anatomy and trauma-informed teaching practices.
