29th Manhattan Short Film Festival

Sunday, October 4 is the final screening before ballots are due.
The 29th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival, a weeklong worldwide contest that allows the audience to choose the winner, will take once again place at the Englewood Public Library. The 10 short films can be seen on any of the following dates:
Thursday, September 24, at 2 p.m. or Saturday, September 26 at 2 p.m. or Monday, September 28 at 7 p.m. or Tuesday, September 29 at 7 p.m. or Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m. or Sunday, October 4 at 2 p.m.
This program is free and open to the public, and registration is recommended but not required at bccls.org, choosing Library Events, then Englewood, and select the session you prefer. The films will be shown in Room 2.
The Englewood Public Library is one of only 18 venues in New Jersey that will be participating in this year's festival.
Audiences at each venue will be handed a voting card upon entry to each cinema and asked to vote for the ONE film they think should win. By virtue of their selection by Manhattan Short, each short film is automatically Oscar-qualified. One of the films shown last year received the Oscar for Best Short Film, and attendees were able to watch this short film before most of the Academy members. The short films featured are intended for viewing by adults only.
Attendees get to see these films (sometimes Oscar winners) BEFORE most of the Academy members.
