Octoberfest 2024 will consist of 2 performances, a parade at 1PM down Quincy's Historic Maine Street and the field competition starting at 4PM, which will be held at QHS Flinn Stadium (Doors open at 3PM) Field Competition Admission - $10 for Adults/$5 for Students. Concessions will be available all day! This is the first of two yearly fundraisers that the Friends of the Performing Arts host! The day consists of High School Marching Bands from Iowa, Missouri and Illinois marching in an afternoon parade and an evening field competition. Numerous awards are presented at the conclusion of this popular event including the Ragan Knapheide Outstanding Percussion Award, the Heibreder Drum Major Award, the Randy Hoover Outstanding Soloist Award and the James Burns Outstanding Brass Award. Over 250 QPS parent volunteers and alumni help to make this event an annual fall classic for the entire Quincy community!
