28th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival: Concert, Fireworks Show, Veterans Breakfast & 4th of July Parade
The patriotic celebration will begin on Friday, July 3, at 6 p.m. at the Waxahachie Sports Complex located at 151 Broadhead Rd.
This year, guests will enjoy a concert at 7:30 p.m. featuring ZZ Tex - the ultimate tribute to ZZ Top. The spectacular H-E-B and Myrtle Creek fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m.
Spectators are encouraged to tune their radio to KBEC 1390/99.1 during the fireworks show for a special simulcast of patriotic music choreographed to the fireworks. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are allowed at the Waxahachie Sports Complex; however, personal fireworks are prohibited.
On July 4, the celebration will continue at 10 a.m. with the CNB of Texas hometown parade from Getzendaner Park down Main Street to Downtown Waxahachie, followed by the Liberty & Lemonade Stroll in historic downtown Waxahachie at participating downtown merchants from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is FREE.
All veterans and active-duty service members, including those who served in all wars and conflicts are invited to be honored guests of the CNB of Texas hometown parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026
As a token of our community’s gratitude, veterans and one guest are invited to attend the Annual Dan McClinton Memorial Veterans’ Appreciation Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church (1410 W. Jefferson St.). The breakfast is proudly sponsored by First Baptist Church Waxahachie, Victory Baptist Church, and Texans on Mission.
Enjoy a hot breakfast, connect with fellow veterans and service members, and be recognized by a grateful community before taking part in the parade as a guest of honor.
