27 Years of Friendship: The 24th Annual Grawitz Dinner

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Urologic Pathology community, we are delighted to organize the 24th Annual Grawitz Dinner! As many of you know, this tradition, which started twenty-seven years ago, has grown and become a popular event giving us a chance to socialize away from the meeting venue. Particularly attractive has been the opportunity to meet and interact with urologic pathology colleagues from around the world and with new colleagues in the field.

This year the dinner will be at Serafina (Seaport Location) (), which is located at 11 Fan Pier Boulevard, Boston, MA 02210. The restaurant is about 0.7 miles from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, which is estimated as a 16-minute walk by Google Maps. The restaurant is just steps from Boston Harborwalk, a public waterfront walkway that offers a variety of experience and points of interests (About the Boston Harborwalk - Harborwalk - Harborwalk).

This year we will have authentic Italian cuisine and signature style of Serafina. The restaurant obtains the best ingredients from around the world for dishes prepared by some of Boston’s most celebrated chefs. Interestingly, this chain restaurant was conceived by two friends while lost and stranded at sea in a small boat. To strengthen their hopes of surviving, both promised they would open a restaurant together serving the best Italian pasta and pizza in the world.

We hope that you will join us on this evening of food and festivity. This is not an exclusive event – please note that spouses are also welcome. For those receiving this email, please feel free to forward it to other Urologic Pathology colleagues and fellows in training, so everybody who is interested can attend (though limited seating is available due to the size of the venue).

The event this year will be held on Sunday evening, March 23, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The dinner will fittingly culminate the weekend packed with excellent GU societies’ companion meetings and consultation conferences. We have made a starting reservation for 100 people. However, we may be able to increase the number of seats reservations before March 16th, 2024, or if we reach 100 sooner, so please use the link below to reserve your space using a free ticket.

Unlike some prior years, we will not be selling tickets in advance for the event, but instead using free tickets as a reservation. We will not have a separate cocktail hour before dinner. The restaurant will be offering a fixed price menu, at a price of $80 (US dollars), not including beverages, that will amount to $105 with tax and tip charges included.

Since we are reserving your seats, it is important for you to arrive on time. Our reservation is at 7:00 PM.

See attached Grawitz dinner menu. Dinner will be served family style with the first course, entrée and desserts. There are also vegetarian and gluten-free options. Kosher dinner can be arranged. There is a long list of beverages on the restaurant menu.
