City in Motion Dance Theater, Inc. together with area Neighborhood Associations is proud to announce the 26th annual Dance in the Park! The concert will be presented on Saturday evening, September 6, 2025 in the tranquil setting of Roanoke Park in midtown Kansas City, just off Karnes Blvd & Roanoke Rd. (Rain date Sunday September 7, 2025.)

This FREE show kicks off at 5:30 pm a warm-up fair, featuring local area vendors, games and snacks, 6:30 pm begins with a interactive group performance. Main show begins at 7 pm. Dance groups include City in Motion Dance Theater and a variety of local contemporary and ethnic dance groups. Performance is invite-only. For more information, please contact [email protected].

Bring a blanket, picnic, lawns chairs and the whole family! Dance in the Park annually thrills crowds of 1,000+ audience members. This annual performance is a chance for the Roanoke neighborhood and visitors from the metropolitan region to experience an exciting performance of Kansas City’s unique dance companies and a sense of community. Dance in the Park is produced by City in Motion Dance Theater in partnership with the Coleman Highlands, Roanoke, Volker & West Plaza neighborhoods. We rely solely on the support of businesses, donations and grants to produce Dance in the Park. Your sponsorship, program advertisement, donations and/or volunteer hours will be a clear signal that you care about our community and want to be actively involved in it!
