The 26th annual “Mysteries & Histories Beneath the Inland Seas” shipwreck show features three amazing stories of loss – and discovery – on the Great Lakes. TIME TRAVELING TIMEPIECE: MSRA's Valerie van Heest will recount the extraordinary journey she took returning Herbert Ingraham's gold pocket watch – recovered from the 1860 wreck of the Lady Elgin in Lake Michigan to his hometown in England.
GREAT STORM OF 1913: FINAL CHAPTER: Dave Trotter, Mike Lynch and Chris Roth bring you the story of the discovery of the last missing freighter from the Great Storm of 1913. After 112 years, the James C. Carruthers has been found!
FINAL MINUTES OF THE SEARCHER! MSRA helps share an intimate, human-centered examination of the 1985 sinking of the fishing tug Searcher on Lake Michigan, tracing the vessel's final minutes and honoring the lives forever altered by its sudden loss.
