Our Traditional Bonfire Night Celebration is on the 9th of November at Parker's Field - adjacent to Parkers Lane/Limb Lane in Dore. Our sign advertising the event can be found on Parker’s Field and in the centre of Dore, and on our Scout website: www.dorescouts.co.uk. This event is to raise much needed funds for our Scout Group so we can continue to maintain our Scout Hut, run our mini bus, and provide a wide range of activities for our members.
If you have any wood that you would like to donate to our bonfire; please bring it to Parkers field on Saturday 26th Oct and Saturday 2nd November between 10am & 12 noon. Please take onto the field. Do not leave at the gate.
We will not be accepting MDF, laminates, foliage or wood coated in creosote; but would appreciate any other wood especially doors and pallets.
We cannot collect any wood this year due to a shortage of volunteers.
On the 9th of November:
Please use the main entrance on Parkers Lane (S17 3DP). Do not climb over the walls as there is barbed wire around the field boundary that can't be seen at night.
The gates open at 6.30pm for all to attend.
This gives plenty of time to allow everyone to get onto Parker’s Field and browse the different stalls.
We offer: hot & cold drinks, mulled wine, baked potatoes with different fillings, roast chestnuts, treacle toffee, toffee apples, our famous burgers & hotdogs, and the chance to buy flash bands and novelties.
Listen-out for our own PA system. David Hayes entertains and gives us useful info as the night proceeds.
Timing: The fire will be lit at 7.15pm followed by our Firework Display at 7.30pm

Family special 2 adults + 2 under 18’s £15
Pay at the gate on the night. We accept cash and card payments. If paying by cash, please bring the correct amount so entry is quick and easy. Extra donations will be gladly received.
