About this Event
26.2 to Life Film Screening and Panel
Join us for an evening celebrating one of the most inspirational running clubs of the Bay Area: San Quentin's 1000 Mile Club!
Since 2005, The 1000 Mile Club has offered coaching, camaraderie, and physical rehabilitation for incarcerated men at San Quentin Pr*son in Marin County. Every year, coaches including Impala Diana Fitzpatrick and her husband Tim Fitzpatrick, volunteers, and over 100 members work towards a November marathon including 105 laps around the Pr*son yard. This running club is the subject of the feature film , and demonstrates running's enduring power to yield results of belonging, well-being, and redemption.
A panel discussion will immediately follow the film, featuring 1000 Mile Club head coaches Diana and Tim Fitzpatrick, Jim Maloney, and club alumnus Markelle Taylor.
This event is organized by the Impala Racing Team as a part of our DEI efforts and open to the general public – invite your family, friends, and come beforehand to enjoy dinner or beers from the bar!
All ticket proceeds to benefit the 1000 Mile Club at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center.
