25th Anniversary Commemoration of 9/11

As our country celebrates its 250th Anniversary, we are also quickly approaching the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93. The 9/11 Freedom Trees Site at the corner of Main Avenue and Millcreek Parkway in Clinton was established as a living memorial to those whose lives were taken on that fateful day.
Clinton Trees Forever, The Lighthouse Schools, Clinton Police Department, Clinton and Camanche Fire Departments, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Clinton are collaborating to host a commemoration at the 9/11 Freedom Trees Site on Friday, September 11, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Representatives from the four first responder units will serve as the keynote speakers.
All are welcome! Those attending may want to bring a lawn chair as this is an open area with limited bleacher seating available.
Parking is available at Eagle Heights Elementary School (1350 Main Ave) or Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center (1320 19th Ave NW) with a bus shuttle to the site. Handicap parking is available by entering Millcreek Parkway from 19th Ave NW.
