Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic novel BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE with beloved author Kate DiCamillo at the Riverview Theater!
Enjoy a screening of BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE’s 2005 movie adaptation at the theater where it first premiered. Afterward, join two-time Newbery Medalist Kate DiCamillo for a Q&A and book signing.
Tickets: A ticket is required to attend this event. Tickets may be purchased on Red Balloon's website and include your choice of a paperback edition of either BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE or FERRIS.
Check In: Check in for this event will begin at 4:00pm. Guests only need to provide the name or names on their ticket order. They will then be given the book indicated on their ticket and will be assigned to a signing group if they would like to stay to have books signed after the event.
Timing: This event will begin at 5:00pm and open with an introduction from Kate DiCamillo followed by a screening of the movie BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE. The movie runs for approximately 1 hour and 46 minutes. Following the screening, Kate DiCamillo will answer questions from the audience and sign books.
Signing: After the Q&A, Kate DiCamillo will sign copies of her books. Due to the anticipated size of this event, guests may have only two total books signed.
Additional copies of Kate DiCamillo’s books will be available to purchase at the event. If there’s a particular title you’d like, we recommend ordering it ahead of time from Red Balloon Bookshop to guarantee your claim of a copy.
